ROUGH GUIDE PROJECT

ROUGH GUIDE PROJECT

I do love to walk the streets of London and this project was a very exciting way to start the course for me. My group was given Brixton area to develop the Rough Guide Project. Brixton is a multiethnic area of London with a prominent street market and substantial retail sector.
How did Brixton captivated me? Through a variety of colours, cultures, and the streets markets. Also it has an amazing palette on textures and surfaces.
My pictures are mainly focus in geometric lines, surfaces, and also colours.

Places I visited in Brixton while during the project
Shops: Brixton Market- Electric Avenue plus an extensive area of covered market including Brixton Village, Francos-Great Pizzas , pound shops, Bookmonger, Traid, Atlantic Fabrics, Circus, Blix, Left Overs.

Museums/Galleries: London Print Works Exhibition space, Various small galleries Atlantic Rd Brockwell Park- walled garden, allotments, Lido & cafe.
